XPRT GRIP CLIPS

Safety Info & Warnings

not fall protection icon
Not a fall-protection device

XPRT Grip Clip is designed to reduce ladder movement. It does not secure the user or prevent falls. Always follow safe ladder practices.

correct ladder angle
Use correct ladder angle and footing

Set up ladders at a safe 75° angle (or 1 part out from top supporting structure to 4 parts height). Ensure feet are stable and on firm ground before use. See Safe Work guidelines.

Use only on secure gutters

Gutter must be firmly attached to the structure and able to support outward force. Do not use on loose or damaged gutters.

Do not use if gutter shape or leaf guards prevent full grip

The clips must fully closed around the gutter edge. If leaf guards or gutter design interfere with grip, do not use.

How to use - basics

1. Ensure ladder feet are stable, ladder is vertical and at a safe climbing angle.

2. Climb the ladder to height where gutter is in reach. Fasten Grip Clip over gutter on one side of ladder.

3. Stretch cord to other side of ladder. If necessary, to avoid a trip hazzard, loop it once around the ladder rung just above the gutter.

4. Clip the second clamp to gutter on other side of ladder.

independent test results - summary

XPRT Grip Clips were tested in 2025 by LMATS - a NATA accredited independent testing lab. They were tested for real world scenarios where slips and falls commonly occur - where the worker is:

• overstretching sideways

• stepping from ladder to roof and vice versa

• unattended ladder falling in gust of wind

The Grip Clips held over 70kg outwards force, 30kg of lateral force and 75kg of pulling force. See full test results here.
