Built by a cleaner who got sick of bad tools.
I'm Jono. I've spent 25 years as a professional window and gutter cleaner, on the glass, up ladders, and out in the weather. Over the years I've tried every tool out there. Some were fine, many were flawed, and a few were just expensive disappointments.
I founded XPRT Tools in 2025 in Dee Why, Sydney, after 25 years working as a window and gutter cleaner.
The first tool I built was the Louvre Gun, because nothing on the market could clean louvre windows as fast and as well aw with pure water. So I made the thing myself. I sold the first version through Window Cleaning World in July 2024, before XPRT existed as a brand. That's how XPRT.tools started, and it's how every product since has started too.
XPRT.tools now makes 8 products for window cleaners, gutter technicians, and roof workers, designed and tested in Australia. Every tool we make needs to earn its place in your kit. Tools that solve real problems other brands overlook.
Every product begins with a small annoyance on a job site. I spot a job that takes longer than it should, or a move on site that feels dodgier than it needs to. A hack that doesn't always work. A design that looks clever in theory but fails on a long day's work. A recurring pain that could be avoided with better design. I take those problems back to the workshop, prototype, test, and refine until it feels right.
I don't just design these tools, I use them myself. That's the difference. XPRT.tools isn't a marketing company or a factory brand. It's a small Australian maker building gear for people who take pride in doing things properly.
No gimmicks. No fluff. Just original, field-tested tools that make your work faster, cleaner, and more satisfying.

WHAT WE'VE BUILT SO FAR
JANUARY 2025
Cleaning louvres was slow, rough on the hands, and never came up properly.
The Louvre Gun puts controlled pure water exactly where it needs to go. The water washes out, taking the dirt with it, and leaves the glass shining. The first version sold through Window Cleaning World before XPRT existed. The current version is the second.
FEBRUARY 2025
Most tongs are bulky, catch on everything, and have a joint that eventually breaks.
Ours are slim, strong, and made in one piece, so there's no joint to break. They reach deeper into downpipes and further along gutters than most tongs will go.
NOVEMBER 2025
Everything for louvres in one bag. Louvre Gun, both Louvre Mops, hose and fittings, and the attachments that make it all work together. It stops your gear rattling around the van floor and getting bent or lost, and you turn up at the door with the lot in one hand, looking like a real pro.

AUGUST 2026
Detailing high glass with steel wool means holding a floppy pad of wool in your hand and getting up there to reach it.
The Yellow Brick puts the wool on the end of your pole, holds it flat, and keeps anything hard or sharp away from the glass.
FEBRUARY 2025
Scrubbing louvres meant tediously working one face of a blade at a time, then going back for the other.
The Louvre Mop sandwiches a blade from both sides at once, hugging it the whole way across. It comes in two sizes, matched to the two common blade widths you run into. Faster, and far easier on your hands.
NOVEMBER 2025
Getting on and off a roof is the fiddliest part of the day, and when you're working above the point your hose comes from, gravity spends all day tugging it back down.
The Grip Clips clamp onto the gutter and hold your ladder, along with your hose exactly where you need them. Independently load tested by LMATS.
APRIL 2026
Tight-fitting screens don't come out easily, and the ones stuck down with velcro barely come out at all. Most people end up levering with whatever's at hand, and marking or bending the frame in the process.
This is a purpose-shaped tool with a thin edge that gets into the gap without scratching or denting, while strong enough for the most stubborn screens.
AUGUST 2026 - BETA LAUNCH
RoofXPad
Sitting on a roof is hot, dirty, and hard on your pants.
The RoofXPad is a rubber-backed pad you wear, held by a waist belt and a strap around each thigh so it stays where you put it. Cooler, cleaner, more comfortable, and one less pair of trousers gone through.
HOW THE TOOLS GET MADE
It starts on a job, not in a board meeting. If something takes longer than it should, or a move feels more awkward than it needs to be. I make a note of it.
Then I go looking at what's already out there. Usually someone has had a crack at the problem, so I want to know what works, where it falls down, and whether the answer is a part that already exists used a different way, or two things combined that nobody has put together yet.
Once I've got a direction, I knock together a rough one just to see if the idea holds up. If it does, I sketch it properly, model it up, and put it in front of a few people who'll actually use it. Then I get samples made.

The first one is almost always wrong in some way you can only find out by using it, so I take it back out on the tools and use it on real jobs for weeks. Sometimes months.
That cycle runs until the tool stops annoying me. Some ideas never make it out of the workshop, which is fine. If we can't make it better than what's already out there, then why bother.
Tools are designed and tested here in Sydney. Manufacturing runs through specialist factories overseas, working to our own drawings and, where the part is unique to us, our own custom moulds.
Some of it I still make myself. The Louvre Mops start as aluminium flat bar I buy locally. I bend each one, smooth it, and engrave it in the workshop, then fit the microfibre sleeve. The mop sleeves are made to my own design. Every Pro Kit is put together here by hand, one at a time.

You've probably been sold gear that sounded good in the marketing but then let you down on site. Clever on paper, awkward in the hand, or falling to pieces a few weeks down the track. How did XPRT get started?
Jono kept running into jobs where the right tool simply didn't exist. Louvre windows were the worst of them. Most window cleaners dread the things, and nothing on the market cleaned them quickly or properly with pure water, so he built the Louvre Gun himself.
Taking it into Window Cleaning World was what showed him it wasn't the only one who felt this way about louvres. Plenty of customers there felt exactly the same way. They started stocking it in July 2024, before XPRT existed as a brand. XPRT Tools was founded in 2025, and the current version of the Louvre Gun launched in January 2025.
