1. Set Up and Protect the Area

Attach am 8mm hose to the louvre gun.

Check the connection is tight (no leaks).

Place towels or dropsheets below the louvres to catch drips.

Test the water flow away from the work area first.

The ideal water pressure can be determind by holding down the trigger and pointing the tip of the tool upwards. You want to see water bubbling gently out the top of the tip. If the water is spurting high above the tip, the pressure is too strong - turn it down a bit.

For spotless results, pure water TDS reading should be 000ppm.

⚠️ Water Pressure Note:
Each time you stop the water flow, pressure builds up in the hose. When you press the trigger again, please be prepared for an initial strong burst of water.

2. Wash the Louvres

Use a wet XPRT louvre mop to wash 3-4 louvre panels at a time (too many = water dries too fast = cloudy finish).

3. Rinse Properly

Start at the TOP MIDDLE of the louvre.

Slide the nozzle side-to-side until all glass surface has been rinsed off.

💦 Test the spray first – Expect a strong initial burst.

🔍 Work in small sections (3–4 panels) – Helps prevent drying spots.

✨ Rinse thoroughly – For a streak-free, clean finish.

🔧 If the trigger ever feels sticky, remove the plastic end cap under the yellow trigger, pull out the spring and pin, apply a small smear of silicone tap lubricant or plumber’s grease to the pin, reassemble. Do not use WD-40 or petroleum greases.

Does it drip water everywhere?

No. The Louvre Gun is designed for precision and control. Water flows only when you trigger it, helping you avoid mess and overspray. All the water flows to the outside. We recommend a drop sheet for minor splashes.

Can I use it with normal tap water?

Yes. You’ll get the best results with pure water (deionised or reverse osmosis and resin filter), but tap water is fine for removing dirt from the glass. Just note: some spots will most likely be left behind because tap water also has minerals in it. Places with softer water or rainwater tanks tend to leave fewer marks.

Can the angle of the tip be adjusted?

Yes. The tip pivots with just the right amount of friction. It stays put during use, but adjusts easily when needed for different angles.

How much water pressure does it need?

You don’t need high pressure. The best way to judge the correct amouunt is by facing the tip upwards, adjust the pressure so the water is flowing about 10-20mm above the tip.

Is the Louvre Gun fragile?

No. It’s built for daily use by pros. The components are durable and replaceable if ever needed.

What is the best way to clean louvers?

The best way to clean glass louvre windows is to use the Louvre Mop and Louvre Gun.

Most people use cloths, brushes or window squeegees. They use detergent, vinegar or isoproply alchol. These methods are slow, frustrating, and normally leave a lot of smears. As a long-time window cleaner, I know.

Such a timesaver!
This tool is such a great innovation for not only rinsing louvre glass panels quicker and without leaving squeegee lines or necessitating a microfiber wipe; but the results are consistently better than any other technique we’ve used to date.
Hot tip: they’re not just for louvres!
Some newer houses have a modern version of the sash window. These frameless sliding windows can be notoriously difficult to wash where the panes overlap and can’t be reached with other tools. Louvre Gun to the rescue!

What a GUN!!
It’s such a great little compact companion. So easy to stash away on a belt or in a pouch. Ive been using it with my portable/backpack waterfed system. Such an easy to use watergun not for play. (but i guess if you could get close enough to someone haha)
